CVPG was formed in 1991 and we have over 140 members. We mainly cover Beds, Bucks and Herts but we welcome members from everywhere and have several members who do live outside this area.
CVPG organise the Luton Festival of Transport,
now in its 30th year!

You don’t need to own a classic vehicle to be a member though, an interest in vehicles is all you need. Our current aim is to encourage younger members and we welcome owners of future classics too.
We have an active social scene. During the winter we have monthly meets in Dunstable Rugby Club near Houghton Regis, Beds, with interesting speakers and demonstrations on a number of subjects. We hold a yearly auction which is always a fun and lively event and also a Christmas Party with buffet supper, activities and entertainment. Our AGM in February is traditionally our bangers and mash night.
During the summer months, we meet at various pubs, have an annual BBQ and organise trips out to various interesting places. Our pub meetings are always popular and a great opportunity for members to meet and show their vehicles informally.
We also arrange classic car meets during the summer at Dunstable rugby club where you can make an evening of it with freshly cooked food available at very reasonable prices. DRFC also have a bar and hot drinks available. Please see our facebook page for upcoming events.
Members also receive 4 magazines a year covering a wide range of transport related articles, stories and information.
Membership is just £15 per annum and covers all the family at the same address. To join or renew please go to the membership tab above.
We organise the annual Luton Festival of Transport event at Stockwood Park. This has grown steadily over the years and now regularly attracts hundreds of classic vehicles, the largest show of its type in the area. In 2021 we will celebrate our 30th year and we will again be supporting local charities with proceeds from the event.
In both 2018 and 2019 we donated £10,000 to local charities.
